The type of sand that you are having to cope with will determine the club that you should use.If the sand is light and loose go with your sand wedge, as it will not dig deeply into the sand, wasting the energy of your shot.
Where the sand is coarser,compacted,heavier go with yourpitching wedge, which will dig in and lift your ball clear.
